To the other side of the world and the story thereon

Being always involved in building a high-performing team and delivering complex projects in the US, my move to India in 2009 had set me on a self-realization journey. I also experienced that India can offer great talent to build a high-performing team to bridge the delivery gap and fill the expectation to deliver high-quality code by large MNCs. This prompted me to quit British Telecom and create Wissen Technology to address this gap in the market.

Most Indian consulting companies focus on cost optimization which does not lead towards delivering optimal code. At Wissen Technology, we hire smart engineers with a good track record and proven skills to deliver high-quality code that is the foundation for software engineering. Our goal is to focus on building a high-performing core software engineering team that meets the US or Europe-based engineering delivery performance and quality. Wissen Technology is based on the concept of one global team with the same quality irrespective of region. There is no onshore or offshore - one team, one delivery!

Coming to the greatest challenge we faced in bringing together Wissen’s core vision is to sieve through the vast talent pool to select the best ones to be a part of our team. About 10,000 people apply every month and we make 150+ offers after comprehensive testing and 3+ rounds of technical interviews. We are extremely diligent and precise in the selection process and make sure that we have with us only the best.

Wissen Technology is well-positioned in the ever-evolving software field with the introduction of new technologies that are changing the way we live with increased efficiency. But, irrespective of where the technology will lead us in the coming years, we need engineers with core software development skills. The Indian education and training system should gear up to leverage upon the opportunities the global market will throw up as a part of bouncing back from the current situation.

As I see from this juncture of my professional journey, I will continue to build high-quality delivery for a reasonable cost. Although, the globalization of the workforce has introduced saving costs at the cost of quality. Despite this, I want to focus on high-quality delivery with true cost savings, and with this personal motto - Wissen Technology will continue to master hiring the right talent, code right, deliver the right solutions.
