And other real moments that build better communities than aesthetic perfection...

Confession time: I just spent 45 minutes (ok 2 hours) watching someone reorganize their pantry with $400 worth of matching containers while my own cabinet is playing Jenga with half-empty cereal boxes. But I digress...

Listen, those aesthetic restock videos are hypnotic. The perfectly aligned containers. The satisfying pour of dried goods complete with ASMR. (But can we stop the nail tapping?) The labels that probably cost more than my weekly coffee budget. Is this even real life, ya’ll? Like, come on…

But here's the reality check I gave myself and now I’m giving to you:

The audience you’re after don’t wanna see none of this (bad grammar intended there before someone comes at me):

  • A color-coordinated coffee bar that cost more than your first car
  • A pristine white workspace that looks like it's never seen an actual workday
  • Your "casual morning routine" that somehow involves 47 steps and a cloud of dry ice

To feel a connection, they need to see:

  • How you handled that client crisis while your teenager was judging your playlist in the background (true story over here)
  • The real process behind your success (chaos and all)
  • That time you showed up to a virtual meeting looking professional... except you forgot to "put on your eyebrows" that day

Now, here's the plot twist you’ve been waiting for: The "aesthetic perfection" content might get likes, but it's the "I've been there" content that builds community.

(Go ahead...read it again. It's some powerful shnizz right there.)

You know what's more relatable than a perfectly organized pantry? The sound of you frantically shoving dishes into the dishwasher before a Zoom call, only to realize you're still on mute trying to look professional while your kids are arguing about who ate the last toaster strudel.

Your ideal clients aren't following you for your perfectly curated feed. They're following you because they see themselves in your journey.

Because when you share the real stuff – the wins, the face-plants, and the "seriously, how is this my life?" moments, you're building something way more valuable than aesthetic appeal.

You're building trust.

And trust, my friends, is what turns followers into community and leads into clients. No matching containers required. (But my gawd they’re so pretty to look at.)

Who else is ready to embrace their "authentically chaotic" brand? Holla atcha girl if you've ever hidden clutter in another room before a video call!

Keep it real, keep it you. ?? Delaina
