No other COACH would reveal this.
Let's address a few common misconceptions that have been masquerading as truths:
1. Resume is rejected by ATS 80% of the time and nobody reads them these days
2. Online applications will not get anyone hired.
3. You need to have large networks. 80% of jobs are never posted is a wrong fear-mongering stat used by those who want you to buy their courses
4. Upgrading, certifications, expensive degrees, and boot camps will get you hired
Now, I get it. These myths are like the gospel of job hunting but that's precisely why they're so misleading.
BUT….If you're hungry for the real deal, the unfiltered truth, and a genuine aha moment, I've got just the thing for you.
Let's dive into the first and deadliest blunder in the world of Resume branding. This misstep often leaves people scratching their heads, wondering why their plans went downhill. Can you fight back as a jobseeker with AI strategy?
Simple, uncomplicated, and actionable—yet, surprisingly, not enough people follow through. Why? Ridiculous voices are tooting different horns, horns that primarily serve the ones blowing them.
Contrary to those who suggest 80-90% of jobs are never posted and online applications don’t work, 80% of jobs are landed through networking they are dead wrong.? Here's why:
1. Generic Advice Ignores Individual Circumstances: One-size-fits-all guidance overlooks the unique skills, backgrounds, and goals of job seekers
2 Online application does work but you need to understand the hiring process first.
Beware of this myth that 80% of job opportunities remain unadvertised. Top companies who use the ATS system post for each job for compliance.?Some jobs might not be posted but it is more for confidential search/ small companies who have no budget for recruiting or a niche talent.
Ontario, Canada? Helping Jobseekers and Cracking Down on Exploitative Employers.
The Ontario government is proposing legislative changes that would make the hiring process fairer for jobseekers who are trying to get into the workforce?and that would get tougher on exploitative employers by increasing maximum fines for violating the Employment Standards Act (ESA) to the highest level in Canada.

The government is also intending to propose changes to the ESA that would, if passed, require larger employers to disclose in publicly advertised job advertisements whether a job vacancy exists or not. Additionally, proposed changes would require larger employers to respond to job applicants whom they have interviewed for publicly advertised job postings, which would make Ontario the first province in Canada to set this standard. 3 Using AI/Chat GPT / Templates will solve the resume writing problem and land you interviews. Wrong!
You need to understand resume branding strategy and what the employer wants to use the right prompts and content on the resume otherwise, Chat GPT or DeepSeek will give you irrelevant content. Also, employers are cracking down on job seekers on the use of AI, so BEWARE!
The worst part? It's not just about being right or wrong; it's about jeopardizing your confidence, credibility, sanity, and, let's face it, your hard-earned money spent on outdated templates/so-called gurus and coaches without hiring experience/knowledge and lived experience.
