The OT Show 2023: Helping us work together towards a more inclusively designed future

Every year, at the end of November the Occupational Therapist community is brought together for two days at the OT Show to explore the latest products, services and training all with the aim of enriching their clients’ lives. For suppliers to the industry, it always offers a fantastic opportunity to get to know our customers, listen to the challenges they face and talk about how they can be supported.

This year, H?fele, were just one of 250 suppliers taking the opportunity to get in front of over 3,500 OTs – and what a show it was! As the largest trade - and the only free - education event in the UK dedicated to OTs, the halls, as always, were buzzing with conversations about new products and all the latest research on how to create environments where all users can feel valued and included.

What is unique to the OT Show is the energy contained within the halls - it’s a rare show where both exhibitors and visitors are genuinely enthused to be there and so passionate about improving their customers’ daily living experience. Across many industries there aren’t many shows quite like it.

Following a fantastic show in 2022, we were delighted to be sharing a stand with Ropox again, who are one of the featured brands in our inclusive living portfolio. Together we showcased solutions for both kitchen and bathroom space which were not only flexible and user-friendly, but also stylish and aesthetic.

The stand featured an inclusive kitchen manned by the H?fele team, which included the Ropox VertiInside and Diagonal cabinets as well as a rise and fall corner worktop all of which are operated electronically. The inclusive bathroom display showcased movable and height adjustable basins and baths and all the solutions presented are designed to bring ultimate flexibility and adaptability to the home whilst providing an aesthetic space. We were also delighted to launch our new Inclusive Living Brochure and Directory, packed full of products and ideas for inclusive spaces.

Paul Stolworthy , Business Development Manager at H?fele said:

Returning to the OT Show for the second year has been such an experience. As we at H?fele are still very much at the beginning of our story championing inclusive designs across the home, it’s such a pleasure to attend such a well-respected and popular show. Going forward from the show we will continue to work closely with our partners to assist OTs to specify the best solutions for their clients.

All of this would not have been possible without great collaboration between ourselves and the team at Ropox, and a mention must made to our H?fele Team Assist, who helped design the fantastic looking display.

As the show closed, we felt inspired by the work the OT industry has done over the last year to educate and inform the design of Inclusive Living Spaces. And by partnering with leading manufacturers such as Ropox, we hope to support and advocate for inclusive homes for years to come.
