OT Security Glossary and Guide
The cybersecurity of Operational Technology systems (OT Systems) has become critical these days, with increasing numbers of reported attacks on these systems. While attacks on IT Systems are widely reported, OT system attacks fly relatively under the radar, leading to much less awareness of the problem.
However, compared to a few years ago, awareness about OT security is growing nevertheless and is a good sign that many people in the non IT sector are waking up to these threats.
In order to help create awareness about OT Security, Abhisam has several e-learning programs on Industrial Cyber Security for several years, including the popular Certified Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (CICP) course.
In addition to these initiatives, last week, Abhisam also supported the launch of a new online glossary related to OT cybersecurity at https://otsecurityglossary.com
This makes it easy for anybody interested in the subject of OT cyber security to quickly refer to any term related to OT security. Additionally there is also a set of small explanatory posts, that explain some important concepts that need to be known by anybody who wishes to work in this domain.
OT Security Glossary entries
The glossary has about 370 entries now and is growing. The OT Security guide has about 20 entries that have some more detailed explanation than just a definition. For example check out this on What is a DMZ?
