Osunbor, Agbomhere Join Guber Race, Positive On APC Triumph | Edo Guber
Ahead of the Edo State gubernatorial race, former Lead Representative of the state, Prof. Oserheimen Osunbor, said that the state is available to all for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
APC’s South South Zonal Organising Secretary, Blessing Agbomhere, who spoke in similar vein, remarked that the people of Edo state are prepared to welcome the renewed hope agenda of the President Bola Tinubu-led administration.
The duo spoke to reporters independently after acquiring their N50 million worth Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms at the national secretariat of the party in Abuja.
Osunbor, joined by scores of allies, promised to reposition the state if he is elected. He called on the Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC) to conduct a proper primary devoid of undue influence and manipulations.
He said: “For many of us, the coming election is a must win for Edo APC. No impediment, no matter how contrived and from whatever source can stop our party from reclaiming Edo in 2024. The mistakes, which made APC lose the state to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2020 must not be allowed to afflict us a second time.”
Agbomhere, who was ushered into the national secretariat of the party by hundreds of his allies, said that he remains the most qualified of the gubernatorial hopefuls, noting that he is well equipped to reset Edo for economic development and advancement.
