The OSHA 3015 Excavation Safety Course
I have been greatly blessed by being able to teach excavation safety courses for over 30 years. This subject to me is fascinating, deep enough to inspire continuous training, and brings with it the satisfaction that lives can be saved by successfully communicating the hazards and protective solutions.
What is the OSHA 3015 course?
It is by far - the most intensive excavation safety course one can find on the open market. That is no exaggeration. Where else, can you find a three-day, in-depth look into excavation safety where the instructors are carefully chosen to present important topics such as soil mechanics, shoring of all types, shield usage, and of course the requirements of Subpart P.
I would like to take a personal moment here to say that Mr. David Dubose taught me the most about the basics and the depth of this subject in a 3015 class. In my opinion he was a natural teacher. He developed a lot of the programs that are still in use today! David, unfortunately, met with health problems and passed away a few years ago. I would love to be able to tell him how much his training has helped me along my journey. I owe him so much.
But what I can do, is encourage anyone involved in excavation work in any capacity, including supervision of those involved in excavation work, to find a 3015 class and attend it. It is worth your time!
