And The Oscar Goes To...

Will Smith punched Chris Rock and cursed using the F word twice on live television after Chris made a joke about his wife's baldness during the Oscars.

At first I didn't know what to think about it. One side of me thought: WOW! There is a man who stands up for his wife and will defend her so no one laughs at her expense.

But after a few seconds I thought...

This is a terrible way to react: using violence, which is something the world doesn't need, especially from someone like Will Smith, who is a role model to so many people.

I am not judging Will but just making an observation over his reaction.

We cannot judge someone unless we have walked a mile in that person's shoes.

Jada Pinkett Smith, Will Smith's wife, has recently spoken about her hair loss resulting from Alopecia, so I can definitely understand Will trying to protect her feelings, especially when the joke was precisely about her baldness... none of us know what she is going through.

Now...

Walking up on stage and punching Chris was the last thing anyone could have imagined. I would have walked up and whispered to his ear "please cut the jokes about my wife" and that would have shown real leadership skills, someone who is able to keep his composure.

The crazy thing is that we don't know whether it was real or staged; however, the message it sent was not cool at all to everyone watching... it certainly left me feeling disgusted.

One of our clients in the US has been yelled at by his manager twice in the last month and his manager later apologized in the two occasions. No matter what's going on try to remain professional, factual, and respectful — else, wait for the world to condemn you like Will is.

This was a joke and Chris Rock is a comedian in my opinion Will Smith was looking for an audience and only said something because Chris Rock is half his size and I personally think Will Smith is unbalanced. If he really wanted to discuss this man to man he would've pulled him to the side and had a discussion but he needed a crowd reaction. You have to have thick skin to survive in Hollywood and comedians go for low blows and shock value. Men don't smack other men in heated arguments.

What do you mean by using violence? There is a big difference between a joke and a mockery right? Will did what everyone could have done...no matter how you can see him, he did what he thought right to defend his woman. Some people would have done better than that. I like Chris but insulting someone's wife(in public) is insulting that person straight and even calling a coward!
