For the?#OSAIcncPEOPLE?section, today we interview? Nicolo Giorgetti , our System Engineer and Andrea T. our Software Developer.

What led to your decision to select OSAIcnc for your career advancement?

Nicolò: I’ve always had a strong personal and professional interest in numerical controls and their applications. As a student, I wanted to deepen my understanding of the subject, theoretically and in practice, to become an expert.

Additionally, the long history of OSAIcnc provides a valuable perspective on the evolution of numerical controls in Italy and worldwide, making it an ideal choice for my career development.

Andrea: I have spent significant time in the industrial automation industry, starting as a field engineer, then moving on to application and software development. OSAIcnc has a long-standing presence in the CNC field, a rich history, and a solid foundation of products and ideas.

The opportunity to use my experience to contribute to developing new products was a significant factor in my decision to join the company, but it was not the only one. Ultimately, a company is not only defined by its ideas and products but also by its people.

As a result, I was impressed to find a team at OSAIcnc that is attentive and responsive to the needs of its employees.

What are the main projects you are working on?

Nicolò: The primary focus of my work at OSAIcnc is machine safety.

With customers increasingly seeking out our company as a partner in creating advanced, connected, and safe machine tools in line with Industry 4.0, my role is to collaborate with the R&D and Product Marketing teams to analyze customer requirements, establish specifications for the numerical control, and consult with experts to develop an OSAIcnc solution that will give our customers a competitive edge in the market.

Andrea: I am currently working on the development of a user interface for wood panel processing machinery. The interface is a web application that connects to an OPENone control, enabling operators to design and execute panel machining tasks such as drilling and engraving.

Additionally, I am monitoring an internal application for tracking project hours and will soon begin developing a new graphical interface for OSAIcnc controls.

What stimuli do you get from collaborating with your colleagues?

Nicolò: The atmosphere at OSAIcnc is positive, fast-paced, and intellectually stimulating. My colleagues, from the most junior to the senior, are always willing to engage in conversation and offer guidance.

This open and supportive environment fosters an atmosphere where ideas can be proposed, developed, and, if deemed valuable to the company, even implemented. The freedom to think and express oneself is one of the reasons why I find OSAIcnc to be an excellent place to work.

Andrea: Working with my colleagues at OSAIcnc is a truly enriching experience. They are all highly knowledgeable and consistently willing to lend their expertise, which motivates me to improve continuously. This collaborative and supportive environment makes OSAIcnc an exceptional team to be a part of.
