OSAC : A platform to self-realisation

OSAC: A platform to self-realisation

It has always been human endeavour to work in groups and gain much success.

From countering beasts in prehistoric times to today’s cyber and other beasts, we strive together and succeed. Therefore, to connect and work together is our second nature and we thrive thus.

OSAC ( Overseas Security Advisory Council)is one such body working towards securing American assets worldwide. Similarly, its Delhi chapter too works towards sharing security related best practices. However, the range of topics covered are far and wide reaching and touching several security areas including women security with concentrated efforts. Added to that, to have a leadership which encourages innovation, diversity and is ready to risk it with responsibility to new members, with freedom to let them create unrestricted, only guiding gently along the way, is a recipe for definite growth and unbounded realisation of immense talent.

This is what OSAC has been to me, at least the Delhi chapter, and not only the leadership, the support and encouragement from all members for a person from a non-security background has been a most heartening experience so far.

I have observed similar support for many peers and seen them grow and bring out the best in themselves.

It is always easy to nourish the best talent as the result is definite, however when the new and raw are given the same platform as the best, it changes the entire picture and a new pathbreaking road is set, which is always the aim of any forum but seldom achieved.

Innovation, responsibility and discipline are the major takeaways from the OSAC here and it is a true blessing to be associated with such industry leaders and think tanks as they are unafraid to take risks and pave the way for ordinary people to a path of self-realisation.
