Originators and Encouragers

Building an ever better world and future… at home, school, work, business, and community ... locally and globally ... must needs be grounded in foundational Character and in a more substantive sense of Confidence. I humbly believe, offer and contend in and on this. I have said it before. All of the tips and techniques and technologies in the world (and those to come) cannot ultimately foster or forge a better world, if the motives are questionable. All of the technologies, ideas, knowledge, skills and abilities must be grounded and founded in the conscious, composed, compassionate and confident practice of Character ... principled... and in communities that advance such and same.

That said, the Universal House of Justice has described community as...

• “more than the sum of its membership, it is a comprehensive unit of civilization composed of individuals, families and institutions that are originators and encouragers of systems, agencies and organizations working together with a common purpose for the welfare of people both within and beyond its own borders; it is a composition of diverse, interacting participants that are achieving Unity in an unremitting quest for spiritual and social progress."

Originators and encouragers... working together with a common (and dare I say, noble) Purpose.... across temperaments, generations, backgrounds and more. If one thinks it idealistic, it is. Idealism is a powerful Virtue for constructive change... and it is much more than we often give attention to it ... in thought.

Idealism, in Practice

Humans. Together. Strong. That is my consciously chosen "ideal"... my Just Cause... and better sense of meaning. It manifests itself in the newsletters of Aim High and A PEACE of WORK ... and in TUGtv... and in my broader and deeper work and Service. It is my Infinite Game; my arena of ongoing endeavour. And, ever moving forward, with this Commitment to Character, Confidence and Community... and to the foundational forces of Character, Purpose and Unity, I am rededicating these following LinkedIn communities to same:

• EMERGENTS for Youth, Students and all Emerging Leaders... helping to deconstruct on Character-driven Leadership... to advance our individual Leadership... that is this space.
• Our community mission here is to advance the Strength of Leadership of youth, students and all emerging leaders to help build an ever better world and future at school and beyond.
• We see Emergents as students, youth, and the young in spirit… all ages and generations … who are rising up in those arenas of human endeavour to help lead constructive change in the private, public and community sectors ... locally and around the globe… for an ever better world and future.
• This Community, ever increasingly, will offer a space for dialogue, resources, articles, videos, networking, and best practices to help youth, students and all emerging leaders explore Character-driven leadership to face change, and constructively create it. This space is about moving the needle for such leadership, as individuals rising up.

• LEADUCATORS: Character. Culture. Leadership.... helping to build Character-driven cultures at home, school, work, business and community. That is the focus of this space. If Emergents is about exploring individual Leadership, LEADUCATORS is about building strong and noble cultures in and from which to work and serve.
• Our community mission here is to advance the fundamental and foundational force of Character in building high functioning Purpose and Unity, helping us to move forward together, stronger... as strong and noble cultures.
• We see Leaducators as those educators in the classroom and beyond, understanding the impact and opportunity they have to affect the world in all arenas of human endeavour… through their teaching and their capacity to lead, inspire, educate and unite; to be that teacher and leader who makes such a difference, helping to bring us together. They see great education as great leadership... and great leadership as great education; grounded in the Wisdom of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr in his saying that "The function of education is to teach one to think intensely and to think critically.? Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education."
• This Group, increasingly will feature resources, videos, networking, articles and best practices to help us each advance our most real sense of Character-driven culture, and thusly build individual and organizational Capacity and Creativity.... as educators and leaders. Here, grounded in my 44 years of work and Service, I offer space to explore that idea that great leadership is great education and great education is great leadership. Here we will explore Character Leadership and Culture Building... for Leaducators building learning cultures of Strength for a better world and future. Ultimately this space is about how we build noble and strong cultures, together.

If Emergents is about individual Leadership, and LEADUCATORS is about building Character-driven cultures, this space is about moving the needle on the kind of Confidence that moves hearts and minds in the best of ways.
• Our mission here is to explore the ideas of genuine and substantive Confidence and Character at home, school, work, business, play and community.
• We see Communitrepreneurs as community-driven entrepreneurial souls creating, supporting and running social, public and private enterprises with the intent of serving and building genuine and sustainable prosperity … and better communities … by their work and Service.
• Epic Engage? is a champion of "communitrepreneurship"... the notion that community and business are intrinsically connected; and rightfully so. We believe that the noble mission of business is to serve the world, and make a living doing so. That said, this group, moving forward... increasingly helps to advance Character driven Confidence for "Communitrepreneurs"... those Entrepreneurs in private, public, social and spiritual enterprise building a better world... and future. Here, we support dialogue, resources, videos, networking, articles and best practices to help you build such Confidence. And here, it is all about advancing genuine Confidence to better serve.

• Business Leadership Connection... this space is about connecting and collaborating.
• Our mission here is to connect former business management and leadership students and participants of mine over the years... in order to advance collaboration and career.
