It has been happening through ages. So called Architectural works essentially emerged from ":adopting" various Motifs by people who were (more) amazed and impressed from distant cultures (Europe's cross borders). Most of the 18 th C onward Furniture pieces in India , S Africa, Malay peninsula and other colonies .were "adopted" by local artisans from catalogues brought from Europe --and these catalogues were again potpourri versions of several catalogues. In Art, Cartoons (full size replica of people, buildings, objects, on paper or parchment ) were resold or rented by II nd category artists --often the same Cartoons have been reused for tracing over and over again for 200 years. So Nothing is Eureka --it is all re-engineered production.
