Happy New Year to you! We’re probably not allowed to say that any more in the middle of January but I’m going to say it anyway!
Hope you’ve had a lovely Christmas break and that you’ve come back refreshed, restored and ready to rock and roll for 2025. Or something like that.?
Personally, I don’t make New Year’s resolutions as I find them quite pressuring. The whole New Year New You thing is frankly annoying – a whole industry has grown up around it and I refuse to engage!
Having said that I do love January.???
All in all, a lovely month, the start of a new year full of possibilities and potential.?????
One of the other reasons I went off the whole idea of goals and targets (not just at this time of year but generally)??is that I realised that most of them were based on things I felt I?ought?to do or?should?do rather than things I actually wanted.
Is it any wonder I seldom achieved them? Michael Neill has often talked about research done by Marcus Buckingham (he of?Now Uncover Your Strengths?fame), which revealed the one thing that all highly successful people have in common.
They had all stopped doing things they didn’t want to do. I’ve adopted this approach in my business and encourage all my clients to do the same.
No goals .. just a nice juicy?Want List?that we can all get excited about and actually do.?
I had a bit of an epiphany over the holidays.? ????
I realized that the best years in my business weren’t the ones where I spent endless hours analysing or second-guessing every decision.
They were the ones where I trusted my intuition, took things one step at a time, and let the journey unfold. ?
And you know what? It always worked.
Somewhere along the way, I’ve lost a bit of that.

Last year I was caught up in too much detail - overthinking, wondering, “Will this make money?”—and, honestly, it hasn’t felt good. ??
My business started to feel like something I was constantly picking at, trying to fix.
But I’ve made a decision: I’m going back to the way I used to do things. ??
Trusting my instincts, following the path of whatever feels good and seeing where it takes me.
And it feels great!! ??
So, what about you?
What’s on your juicy Want List for this year?
What’s calling to you, and what do you want to make happen?
I’d love to hear from you—just hit reply and let me know!
Here’s to a fresh start and a fabulous year ahead.

1 个月Love this approach. I teach it in my membership all the time. I too put my intuition down - for a numbers of years in fact. How did that work out for you Deborah? We won’t go into that but I wholeheartedly embrace this philosophy and everything it brings with it. A much more joyous way to live your life. ??
