One of the helpful Figma file setups I have explored is setting up a local component library system, even if you have a design system. The local library is built on top of your existing design system. You then place the instances from this library in your main design files, developer handoff, and presentation pages. What this setup does is reduce the effort of having to update each and every screen, especially when you work with 100+ screens.
Once you have a local design system, you can just make updates to that library, and all your designs will sync to it.This takes a bit of initial time to set up, but once you set it up, your workflow will improve drastically.
This also makes content designers' lives much easier; they just make the update to the component in the library, and it will update all the designs in multiple different places.
