Organized a Grand Thanksgiving Event for the Donors who have been consistently supporting me Past Many Years to Revisit the Moments that Define Us

Let our lives be full of both, Thanks and Giving.

It was 23rd December 2018 when the children at the Jagshanti Udayan Ghar, the students at the IT Centre along with Udayan Ghar staff were preparing for a Grand Thanksgiving Event for the donors who have been consistently supporting me for last many years. I organized the Thanksgiving event to revisit the Moments that Define us. The moments were highlighted through a presentation that put forth some of the achievements of my NGO, Udayan Care.?

Talking about my grand thanksgiving event, it began with a welcome address where Mr. Arun Gupta, Sr. Coordinator, IT Programme, extended his heartfelt congratulations to my team for organizing the THANKSGIVING event. Further, Mr. Faheem Khan, Asst. Director, USF programme elaborated on the theme of the Event 'Saath' that referred to togetherness and oneness. He emphasized that I had played an important role in building the Greater Noida Home as a Mentor Father and being a fatherly figure for children across the Homes. I was thankful for his wonderful gesture towards me.?

Further, Dr. Modi addressed the gathering where she went back in time, reliving the experiences of starting Udayan Care. She mentioned how three people came together and brainstormed on starting such an initiative. Dr. Modi herself visited various Orphanages and children's homes where the responses of children made her understand that without the love, care, and bonding the initiative would not grow. A few mentors also became part of the initiative and helped set up the homes in Mehrauli and Mayur Vihar respectively. I, with my wife, Dr. Sunita, joined Greater Noida home in September 2013.

Further, Mr. Arun Gupta shared his own experience. He reemphasized that his journey also has been possible with the support of Uayan Care, and today, where he has reached, is all because of the dedication and training he has received.

Next, the journey of one of the Udayan Care students was shown through a dance performance involving training, interview, experience, and knowledge testing. Starting with "Sapno Se Bharein Naina" where the individual dreams of a good future and hard work to enhance its skills during training were beautifully depicted. Followed by it was another motivating song, "Dil Khush Jahan..........Teri Manzil Hai Vahi", reinforcing the idea that once an individual gets determined to achieve its goal, they reach great heights and build confidence.?

Then came an emotional video of mine that beautifully put forth my journey full of commitment and dedication. In the video, children and staff at Udayan Care who have worked closely with me appreciated my work and enthusiasm towards Udayan Ghars and the Organization at large.?

Finally, in the end, I addressed all. I shared a funny anecdote that continues till now, whereby the amount raised in ADHM year on year through a different initiative is always more than what I set as a target. Moreover, some children and young adults from Greater Noida home and Shalinis shared their beautiful journey with Udayan Care, especially me. The young adults shared that they are getting a family environment. They value the importance of protection, safety, and compassion. Overcoming the bitter experiences of the past, Udayan Care has given them a new lease of life.

?Lastly, it was quite an emotional moment when my mother felt proud of me and extended her blessings to my wife, Dr. Sunita, and me, whom she considers more than a daughter. My mother referred to Sunita as an ANGEL. We saw a Dance Performance choreographed by one of our young adults based on the mesmerizing and thought-provoking theme song by Mr. Bacchan that revives the thought of going on a quest to find yourself without losing hope.

?The event reached its epic note when the donors and contributors were felicitated with a token of appreciation by Dr. Modi, my wife, me, Mentors Parents, and UC staff. They have been associated with Udayan Care and, their contributions have made an immense difference in the lives of children. The event closed with a thank you from me for everyone's presence at my gracious thanksgiving event back in 2018.?
