Organizational Transitions

Organizational Transitions

When is the right time for an organizational transition? This is an interesting question, because in many cases the owner is experiencing financial success, a balanced lifestyle, and is visualizing the next level. Yet this is what defines the organization’s value.?

However, here is the tipping point. Maintaining success can be the kiss of death. The company is either growing or dying. Are you or your management team in attack mode where there is constant recalibration and reengineering of organizational value based on changing economic, innovative, and competitive pressures? Or is there a buyer that has that passion to carry the organization into the future??

Absent a clear view for the future, many organizations will miss the window and pinnacle of their value.?

While there are many business consultants/brokers that will help you with the transaction of selling your business, there is often a gap between their expertise and the need to prepare ownership tactically as well as emotionally for a successful transition into the next phase of their career or life. Preparation can be a three-to-five-year process.?

Let’s start with the end in mind, and a decision that you will step away from the organization at some point in the future. Next, focus on what determines an organization’s sustainable value:?

·??????? A management team

·??????? Proprietary resources

·??????? Repeatable revenue

·??????? Brand recognition and loyalty

·??????? Cultural Engagement

Business consultants play a significant role in preparing organizational leadership for change.?

As a consistent reader of Visiam Insights Newsletter, we would like to invite you to investigate our Assessments as an invaluable tool to engage leadership and organizations in conversations of significance.?
