Organic Social Media:?

When any content is posted on a social media platform (without the help of paid social media), it is considered an organic post. Organic posting is the foundation of every social media platform because any user can utilize it. Unlike paid social media, organic posting is free to anyone using a social media platform. Because of this, people/businesses can utilize it in various ways depending on their goals.??

Organic social media is great at targeting consumers in the middle of the marketing funnel. This is because organic posts only have a certain reach; Meaning that most people that see organic posts are followers of the account. Depending on the social media platform, the amount of people who see organic posts varies (this is called Organic Reach Rate). For example, only around 1.3% of followers see organic posts on Facebook.??

Organic social media content can be produced in many forms such as:??

  • Infographics?
  • Pictures?
  • Videos
  • Memes and other humorous content??

Why is Organic social media Used??

Social Listening:??

Social listening refers to the process of a brand measuring and paying attention to what is being said about their brand across social media platforms. This process is a great way to get insights into what consumers are saying about a brand and how they perceive it. The information gathered from social listening is extremely valuable to brands because its data straight from the consumers themselves.??

Before engaging with social listening, a brand needs to establish their listening strategy. There are 3 keys components to keep in mind when developing a listening strategy. Those being:??

  • Figuring out the correct information to measure and making sure it aligns with business goals.??
  • Finding social listening topics through past research.?
  • Always refine what information is being measured.?

?Customer Service/Care Through Social Media:??

Brands can use organic social media to their benefit. Much like social listening, brands can monitor what issues are arising surrounding their brand from people who use their product or services. Brands can then respond and engage with their consumers to help resolve their issues.??

It is stated that around 78% of people now expect a personalized response from brands; Because of this, building a strong customer service reputation is essential in our modern digital world. Monitoring specific key words of what people are saying and responding effectively is essential.??

Another topic related to customer service is customer care. Customer care refers to brands treating their consumers with respect and being polite to them to build a genuine connection. By doing this, consumers will be more likely than not to speak positively about the brand more often.?
