Using social media is more than just branding and growing awareness it is about using that real ability to use a greater version of word of mouth advertising. If a company is to keep up its social image on social media it will help boosts sales because it'll bring more attention because it'll be seen more by the consumers. The most important thing a company can do on social media is to build connections with their consumers by doing give-aways answering questions or doing live streams to show off new products or features and talking with the chat.

How do B2B and B2C companies use social media?

B2B uses social media a little differently than B2C because in a B2B setting stuff is more professional so you won't be seeing as much chatting in the chat or comments on a picture. You would tend to see a lot more tagging clients that worked on the project and building connections with them because if your clients are happy with the work you and your partners did then you need to share that to showcase the work that you guys did. B2C is not as professional so you would see those live videos and chats going on because they need to build those connections and grow their advertising to be successful. For instance, a thing that they would differ on would be the tone that the post is using, for example, if a company was a B2C it might not come across as serious and maybe even sometimes comedic in its post but as for a B2B they would come across a lot more serious and not as free in there post.
