Oregon college shooting

Oregon college shooting

Whilst someone who goes and shoots a load of innocent kids in a school deserves/should be put in prison, we as a society/nation/planet need to take more responsibility.

If you look at many of these shooters, they had terrible relationships with their fathers/parents, and were not brought up with sustainable values or enough love or the balance of support and challenge in their lives. Perhaps that was the way their fathers/ fathers raised them too?

There is nowhere near enough education on how to raise children and be a great parent. Its totally new and there's no manual, yet focus in school is in subjects that we won't use in the real world, and the 'formal' education stops as soon as we become an adult. What if we were taught how to manage our money wisely, gratitude and service, enterprise, values and how to understand our purpose and uniqueness.

What if as adults, when we get the great news we are going to be a parent, we were given education on how to raise our children to be great people, allowing them to discover their own unique genius and place in the world too, raising them with values that care and serve fellow human beings?

What if, like a speed awareness course, we were warned what happens to people when they are not raised with enough love, or too much support, or too much challenge. What if we saw the consequences of that beforehand?

No one is born a murderer. A lack of love is often the underlying issue. A lack of understanding of the consequences of responsible parenting.

Lets get the right things taught to us at the right time in our lives and take some global responsibility for failings in society.
