Be ordinary to become extra ordinary

“Excellence is a continuous process and not an accident.” – A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and when you want to achieve excellence in anything in life you need to attempt to be extra ordinary. There are some important steps how you could build up your journey towards becoming the extra ordinary person.
Define success is the first and foremost step to identify what does success look like to you? What does it taste like, feel like, smell like, sound like? Raise your standards. Stretch your limits. The reason you’re average now is because you’ve accepted that as your standard of life. You can do something about it for sure since you know where we are supposed to go.
Make a complete plan is the next one work on to create a specific plan to guide you toward success. Now, hold onto this plan loosely, because life will offer opportunities that don’t fit your plan. And sometimes you need to take these to move closer to your success at a quicker rate. Embrace the constant change. Keep moving forward in the right direction with this plan.
Take action based on your plan whether you believe it or not, the tortoise beat the hair because of one factor: consistency. You need to take consistent, focused steps towards your vision of success every single day.
It is important to be held accountable for everything you do as humans are social creatures. Leverage this and find a group or hire someone to hold you accountable towards your success weekly. Schedule a meet up or a call with your group or hired third party to review your prior week, plan your next week, and discuss any pain point you may have or are experiencing. Many people forget or deny the practice of being held accountable, and it’s a major reason they do not succeed.
We need to find the right mentors, coaches, and follow their advice to further your plan with a strategy of utilising their experience and expertise. Find someone a few steps ahead of you on your plan to success and either ask them to mentor you or try to learn as much as you can from what they’ve already done. One of the quickest ways to solve a problem or answer a question is to ask someone who already knows the way or the answer. There is no glory in being a lone wolf. Once again, leverage the social nature of humanity and work your way up the figurative ladder to your success.
Don't ever forget to reward yourself and give yourself positive feedback. Enjoy your hard work thus far and celebrate your success with your dear ones by cutting a cake or pop up a champagne bottle, and have a nice dinner somewhere where it is convenient and comfortable or even a cup of coffee can rejuvenate your conviction to keep on working towards your goal.
It is important to find your pivot and repeat the performance by setting a milestone, fir review your progress thus far. Do you have any lessons learned to apply to the pursuit of your next milestone? Can you find a way to do things more efficiently and effectively?
We know that formula of success has consistency, perseverance and dedication for a time based action and review process. If you now want to write full time for your living, start curating one post a week and hoping someone finds you has a lower probability rate of success than writing seven blog posts a week and engaging with your peers in your industry.
There is always room for growth and improvement provided you take the time to review yourself and be honest by trusting the process you have adopted as your path. When you grow you need to also let others grow in your team and create more leaders when you move up the ladder. Stay blessed! #kishoreshintre.

4 年Love this. Be ordinary to be extraordinary. Yes I agree an ordinary goal can be transformed into a completely different one provided you have the wherewithal. Plan, do, check and act is the mantra. Learn from those who care for you. Work with tough bosses who work on strict timelines. Have stretch goals.
