In Order To Succeed

One thing that cracks me up is how people "act" like those who are successful became that way by chance. It's amazing how one would discredit the hard work, diligence, perseverance, dedication, courage and belief that went into one becoming successful. I highlighted the word "act" because I know it's not a true belief. I know that people believe success is a journey that requires the aforementioned personal qualities. But they still choose to "act" like they don't. The people that I'm talking about don't show up early, they don't ask meaningful questions, they barely do what is required, going above and beyond is a foreign concept, they don't think about what they're doing but rather do things just because it was asked of them... and so on.
But here's the thing... Here's why these people will not be successful...
Because they don't believe they can actually succeed. That's right! When you see people being lazy, cutting corners, etc., it's because they don't know that they can actually play, get promoted, get accepted, or accomplish whatever it is that their hearts desire but their minds are afraid of. In order to succeed, we must believe in ourselves first.
People who possess the personal qualities of being early, being attentive, always trying to be better, and yada yada act this way because they believe in themselves. It starts in our minds. Our minds are our engines. Ef they don't work, neither will we. If they don't work, we won't move. Fix your engine/mind, and you, too, will succeed!
