ORCA Roundup February 2025
Hello February! This month, we're excited to share two brand-new case studies from The Mazi Project and Roland DG, plus a special partnership announcement that you’ll hear about first right here. Plus, as always, we’ll give you a peek into what’s been inspiring our creative team this month.
FRESH FROM THE STUDIO
Time to Serve Up the Mazi Project Case Study
We’re excited to share our branding work for The Mazi Project, a Bristol-based youth-led charity using food to empower disadvantaged 16-25-year-olds. The Mazi Project takes its name from the Greek word mazi (μαζ?), meaning ‘together’. With this brand essence, we were able to craft an identity that not only represents community but also shared the message that good food has the power to positively affect an individual's well-being.?

The Roland DG Grand Print Event Case Study is Hot Off the Press
In February, ORCA’s work took the global stage at Monza Racetrack for the Roland DG Grand Print Event. For this branding, we crafted a dynamic blue and pink colour palette - inspired by the Alpine F1 Team’s iconic hues - paired with an "X" motif to mark the launch of Roland’s XP-640 printer. ORCA’s Creative Director, James Ewin, and Client Services Director, Laura Lancaster, attended the event in Italy to experience ORCA’s work in action.

Announcing ORCA’s New Partnership With Carbon Neutral Fuels
This month, we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Carbon Neutral Fuels! As a technology integrator, they are pioneering sustainable fuels for hard-to-decarbonise industries like aviation and maritime, offering a viable alternative to fossil fuels. As a B-Corp, we are proud to collaborate with a company driving real change.

WHAT’S CAUGHT OUR EYE
F1 Teams Unveil Their 2025 Liveries
After the Roland Grand Print event at Monza, F1 has been on our minds - especially the bold new livery designs hitting the grid. We may be biased, but we can’t help but spotlight Roland’s partners, Alpine, and their striking two-tone colour palette for the 2025 design.
Which team do you think nailed it? Take a look at all the designs here.
Hauser and Wirth Somerset ‘An Uncommon Thread’ Exhibition
This month, we’re getting our cultural fix with Mila Embury, our Marketing Coordinator, attending the opening of Hauser & Wirth Somerset’s latest exhibition, ‘An Uncommon Thread’. This group show features the work of 10 contemporary artists and is part of an ongoing initiative that champions emerging and mid-career artists beyond Hauser & Wirth’s roster.
The exhibition explores the transformative power of unconventional mediums to evoke both personal and collective memories, with works by Rachael Louise Bailey, Max Boyla, KV Duong, Charlotte Edey, Nour Jaouda, Lindsey Mendick, Jack O’Brien, Nengi Omuku, Tai Shani, and Georg Wilson.
The exhibition runs from 8 February to 21 April 2025. Discover more here.
NEXT MONTH
With February behind us, we’re excited for what March has in store as it’s B-Corp Month. We’ve already marked PurposeFest 2025 in our calendar and look forward to sharing insights from the event on using business as a force for good. We’ll also have two of our team members heading to the Netherlands for a client shoot, and we’ll reveal more details on that soon. Stay tuned!
