Orbit Future Academy Successfully Held a Hybrid "Indonesia Fund Fest 2021" on December 14, 2021 in Jakarta

Organizing a grand event offline is definitely not an easy thing to do considering the Covid-19 pandemic is not over yet. However, with the support and collaboration with many parties, Orbit Future Academy has successfully carried out Indonesia Fund Fest 2021 on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at iNews Tower, MNC Group Building, Jakarta.
Indonesia Fund Fest 2021 was held in hybrid format, in-person and it was broadcast live on YouTube, channel “Orbit Future Academy” as well as Zoom platform to connect with a number of overseas investors.
By applying a hybrid method, Indonesia Fund Fest 2021 has effectively attaining all of its initial main objectives, specifically bridging the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) which intended to go further to become start-ups by funding schemes and professional management methodologies.
This event was mainly supported by the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs, Revolving Fund Management Institute (LPDB-KUMKM), MNC Group, SIGER Innovation Hub, and Orbit Future Academy.
The Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs, Teten Masduki in his remarks on the opening of Indonesia Fund Fest 2021 stated that currently, the Ministry under his leadership has transformed into a state institution that adapts to technology, current development, and global-scale connectivity in order to be proficient in facing future challenges and having a broader impact on Indonesian people, particularly MSMEs.
In line with the Minister of Cooperatives & SMEs, the President Director of LPDB-KUMKM,?Soepomo, explained that the management of revolving funds has currently been utilized by more and more MSME players who are prepared to respond to the national market by applying technology and ecosystem collaboration with other entities. We all hope that more MSMEs would be able to take advantage of the collaboration with LPDB-KUMKM, in order to answer the scalability challenges of Indonesian industrial world in general.
As the sponsor of Indonesia Fund Fest 2021, an Executive Chairman of MNC Group, Hary Tanoesoedibjo, shared various achievements and contributions of MNC Group for Indonesian people. As a business entity engaged in many industrial fields, MNC Group will continue to open up opportunities for collaboration with various parties and stakeholders, in order to be able to solve more and more Indonesian social problems in the future.
Co-Founder & President Commissioner of Orbit Future Academy, Ilham Akbar Habibie, recited about his various anxieties, which also shared by a number of his business associates; noticing that Indonesia really requires to increase the intensity of knowledge transfer that talks more about future technology and skills, in order to welcome the era of Industrial 4.0 and the future. This era is highly dependent on data and management as well as the optimization with other platform, solution or devices. Orbit Future Academy was established for this vision, so that Indonesia will not only become a market for technological products, but also the main actor of innovation and the main producer of the latest technological solutions for Indonesia and world markets.
The event was continued with a brief presentation session & the opening of the investment cooperation scheme offering (Elevator Pitch) for 17 Start-up finalists, who had the opportunity to directly interact with potential investors, either face-to-face, or online through a digital platform with potential investors from overseas.
Elevator Pitch session lasted for more than three hours for 17 Start-up finalists, and was directly guided by Sachin V. Golapan as Co-Founder & President Director of Orbit Future Academy, and Nalin Kumar Singh as Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Orbit Future Academy.
At the end of the Elevator Pitch session, Sachin V. Gopalan implied that Indonesia is a nation that is very rich in various potentials and natural resources from Sabang to Merauke. The best solutions presented by the Start-up finalists are the “tip of the iceberg” for the true potential of Indonesia. Sachin expected that on the next Indonesia Fund Fest, there will be more start-ups and more variety of solutions that they present considering it is a very possible thing.
Responding to the Elevator Pitch technique presented by the Start-up finalists, Nalin Kumar Singh as an international businessman who has experience in establishing and leading various companies in several countries, said that young Indonesian businessmen should upgrade the literacy in many things related to the business world in general and the businesses they handle. The first three things that must be considered are literacy of business financial figures, literacy of public communication in order to be able to present their business effectively & efficiently, and critical-eco-systemic thinking (whole, upstream to downstream).
In closing, the potential investors who were physically present as well as potential foreign investors who were present virtually provided a positive response to the successful implementation of Indonesia Fund Fest 2021, which was held in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.
It is very much hoped that all parties, the upcoming Indonesia Fund Fest would attract more MSMEs and Start-ups that have the vision to bring the solutions they promised, towards higher scalability, wider scope, and more impact for Indonesian people and the world.
Note: This event applied strict health protocols. All participants, without exception, were required to undergo an Antigen Swab Test in order to be able to safely remove the mask in a number of parts of the event that require to do so.
