Oracle?Integration Cloud (OIC) Agent enables a secure, encrypted communication channel between your on-premises applications and Oracle Integration Cloud Service. To install it, follow the steps below:
Prerequisites:
Java SE Development Kit (JDK) 1.8 or later installed on your system.
Access to the Oracle Integration Cloud instance.
Adequate hardware resources (e.g., RAM, CPU, disk space) to run the OIC Connectivity Agent.
Installation Steps:
Download the Connectivity Agent ZIP file:
Login to your Oracle Integration Cloud instance.
Navigate to the “Settings” and then select “Agents”.
Click on “Download” to download the Connectivity Agent ZIP file.
Unzip the Connectivity Agent ZIP file:Unzip the downloaded ZIP file to a local directory of your choice on the system where you want to install the Agent.
Configure the Agent Properties:Open the “agent.properties” file located in the /ics_conn_agents/agenthome/agent/config/ directory.
Modify the following properties:
oic_URL: Enter the URL of your Oracle Integration Cloud instance.
oic_username: Enter your Oracle Integration Cloud username.
oic_password: Enter your Oracle Integration Cloud password.
proxy_host: Enter your proxy host if applicable.
proxy_port: Enter your proxy port if applicable.
proxy_username: Enter your proxy username if applicable.
proxy_password: Enter your proxy password if applicable.
Install the Connectivity Agent:
Open a command prompt and navigate to the /ics_conn_agents/agenthome/agent/bin/ directory.

Run the following command to start the installation: ./CloudConnectivityAgentInstall.sh
Follow the prompts to complete the installation. When installation is successful, the agent service starts automatically.
Verify the Connectivity Agent installation:
In your Oracle Integration Cloud instance, navigate to the “Settings” and then select “Agents”.
The agent you’ve just installed should be listed with a status of “UP”.
Remember, after installation, always ensure that your agent is up-to-date, by downloading and applying updates whenever they’re available from Oracle.
