Oracle Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) with Private Endpoints
Are you using 甲骨文 Fusion Analytics Warehouse (FAW) to create insights for your Oracle Fusion ERP and HCM Applications? FAW is a SaaS offering from Oracle which in turn uses Oracle Analytics Cloud and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse (ADW) from the Oracle OCI tier. Hence, it is like a combination of SaaS and PaaS, in some ways.
If you provisioned FAW till a few months ago, you could only get a public IP for OAC and ADW. It is much easier to provision any service when you do not have to worry about the OCI VNC's and private IP addresses. However, many enterprises do not allow their Analytics application, meant for internal users be accessible from outside the company's network.
Now Oracle supports FAW with private endpoints, as a private preview release. In other words, if you are not using FAW for production, you would easily try out the FAW with private endpoints in your own OCI tenancy. You would have to connect with your Oracle account team for FAW, to enable this private IP feature for your FAW.
Once Oracle has enabled the account to allow private IP for your FAW, then you can prepare the OCI tenancy for VCN and subnets that would allow OAC with Private Access Channel (PAC) and ADW with private IP as well. The below diagram shows a conceptual network diagram for Private FAW.

If you already have FAW provisioned with public endpoints, then you need to create export bundle (backup) and then deprovision the FAW instance. You would loose the OAC and ADW that are part of the FAW instance.
You can then provision the FAW again, using the option for private networking. Once it is provisioned, you will be able to access FAW only from your company's network or can setup VPN or OCI FastConnect or create a VDI (virtual desktop) to allow excess from outside.
