Oracle EPM Forms Enhancement - Save As Form Option

I would argue that this is one the best enhancements so far this year. This feature makes it so much easier to edit an existing form and create a new form. The workflow is so much easier. So here is more about the feature!!

As part of the 23.05 EPM Monthly update, you can now the edit the form in the Simplified Interface and you will notice a "Save As" option. You read it right.

Let's Explore

Make sure you are in the test instance. Open a form and click on the Form Designer icon as shown in the above image.

You should now see a "Save As" option as shown below.

When you click on "Save As" button a dialog box appears. By default the system assigns the new name of the form as "Old Form Name-1". You can go ahead and change the name and click on Ok.

The change is instant. You will notice the new form name in the Form Editor. Make sure to click "Save" after making any necessary changes.

The form is saved in the same folder as the source form that you modified.

Conclusion

This is one of the features that speeds up the workflow. You don't have to switch between Simplified Interface and the traditional Form designer window.
