Oracle EPM 23.11 Updates

Another month and another exciting set of new features are coming to your Oracle EPM instances. Here are my personal favorites. I have also included a brief overview about the Toronto Oracle EPM User Group event that happened on October 26th. Alright, let's get going.

FORMS 2.0 AND DASHBOARD 2.0

So the big news is the introduction of Forms 2.0. Along with better user experience, Forms 2.0 is expected to include performance improvements.

Navigate to Application > Settings and select the Forms version as Forms 2.0.

Few things to know about this change:

1. You can switch back and forth between Forms 1.0 and Forms 2.0
2. The UI looks like Adhoc Grid
3. Member Selector is so much easier and better to use. The users are gonna love this.
4. SmartList selection is so much better. When you click on a field with a SmastList, it shows you a drop down rather than a new pop-up window.
5. Export to Spreadsheet option will not be available

I will be making a video/podcast to talk about these changes. Keep an eye out for that.

Dashboards 2.0 includes huge set of enhancements and favorite one of mine as well. I think you all are going to be happy with these.

• You can now include Forms 2.0 grid in Dashboard 2.0. This also allows data write back.
• You can associate business rules with a dashboard. There is a new "associations" tab

• Dashboards 2.0 also includes URL and commentary options
• You can view the details of the form associated with an object

• You can open the form directly from the Dashboard object Actions options

And there are many more improvements. I will be making a separate video on these.

Data Pipeline Updates

• There are two new file operations that are available - Upload and Download.

????Upload File allows you to upload a file to a remote EPM instance

????Download file allows you to connect to the remove EPM instance and download file to your local EPM instance

• The other major update is the option to "Run Pipeline" from the Task Manager task types

FCCS Updates

This a welcome enhancement and I am sure the business users will love these.

• The size of the Consolidation Journals label has been increased to a maximum of 50 characters.
• The line item description size has been increased to a maximum of 100 characters

Toronto Oracle EPM User Group Event

We held the 3rd Toronto Oracle EPM User Group Event (UPLIFT) on October 26th. Thank you to Huron for hosting the event. There were 3 presentations and a round table discussion on EPM. The following were the presentations
