Oracle Developer - Team Lead needed.
DataArt is an IT company that designs, develops, and supports software solutions.
We have more than 3200 colleagues in 22 locations in the US, Europe, and Latin America. We do have 2 offices in Poland - one in Wroclaw (on Pl. Grunwaldzki) and Lublin (on T. Zana st.).
We are looking for our new Team Leader to join us in any Polish location.
About the vacancy
Our client is a big online retailer with yearly revenue of ￡1 billion.
We have a long history of relationships and over the years have helped this customer to develop web-portals and mobile apps, delivery control systems, staff management tools, data storage, etc.
DataArt’s team consists of 4 people (1 Oracle and 3 Tableau developers) and the Product Manager located in London. The team will be autonomous, self-sufficient, and be led by the Oracle Team Leader and an Account Manager.
The team’s responsibility is the development of the product using Oracle and administration with Tableau.
Responsibilities
- Communication with the team and client stakeholders, selecting and implementing the best-fit solution
- Plays the role of Product Owner of the data warehouse and will lead a team of 5 people
- Responsible for tech solutions and implementations
- Responsible for the reliability of the data warehouse
Must have
- Experience as a Team Leader or similar role
- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle
- Expert knowledge of Oracle development tools, some e-Business application functionality, system administration, database structure
- Knowledge of SQL and Oracle operators, SQL Loader, external tables
- Experience working with Oracle 10g/11g
- Development experience using PL/SQL
- Good understanding of data structures and algorithms
- Experience to work with cloud databases: Google Big Query, Amazon Redshift
- Desire and the ability to support data warehouses
- Experience supporting shell script based ETL-processes
- The ability to create stored procedures, packages, and triggers with PL/SQL
- Ability to research, learn, troubleshoot and support complex system customizations
- Experience translating business requirements and design into technical solutions
- Willingness to operate and progress in areas that are outside of previous experience
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Good spoken English
Would be a plus
- Knowledge of Java
- Practical ability to work with at least one of the reporting systems: Tableau, JasperReports, Oracle BI, Crystal Report
