Oracle Database upgrade or migration method

Oracle provides various methods to upgrade or migrate the current oracle database.The following factors should be considered when you upgrade or migrate the oracle database. Upgrade your database to oracle 19c because you are moving to robust,stable,long term support converged version.

- Current version including the patch set level

- Operating System and version

- Hardware platforms and their endians characteristics

- Size of database

- Current database architecture

Direct upgrade is supported when the source database is running one of the releases shown in the following table.

When there is direct upgrade method not supported,other method can be used.
