Oracle Database Insights Forum in Warsaw

Last Tuesday I was invited on Oracle Database Insight Forum to present some slides about Oracle Exadata. It was great event, with many attendees interested in modern and innovative technologies which Oracle has brought to the market within last few months.

Keynote about Oracle Public Cloud

Introducing keynote has been presented by Monica Kumar, Vice President, Database and Big Data Cloud Product Marketing from Oracle. She was focused on aspects of everyday modern life transformation, all of that new technologies such as cloud and mobile which empowers this change, and how Oracle offering will help in this shift. Great stuff, lots of details about Oracle Cloud offering, which I use to write about here.

Kamil Stawiarski & performance tuning!

After Monica, Kamil Stawiarski from ORA-600 has been asked on stage. Kamil as always full of passion has presented live demo of Oracle performance tuning. Seriously, just one slide, and the rest was in unix terminal! It was really great piece of techy stuff and I can say it very honestly - every DBA could learn a lot from Kamil's practical experience!

Red Stack Tech, Exadata PoCs & Managed Services

Finally, before lunch break, I had a chance to show some unique features of Oracle Exadata, which makes this platform just the best for Oracle RDBMS! I have written lot of posts about it. It is worth to be mentioned here again - in Red Stack Tech, we use to prove that platform efficiency during Proof of Concepts with our customers. After a lunch, two parallel sessions have started. One for DBAs, second one for Architects. There was a lot of technical presentations and I hope attendees were satisfied with the content.
