OPUS concerts- from Tbilisi to Zurich

As the new season takes off at Atelier Klang und Raum - welcome to our latest concert series: OPUS.
Join us as we shift the focus towards the younger generation of the Caucasus Republic – Georgia. The youngsters who continue to inspire us with their energy and creativity - those who are freedom-loving and open-minded individuals.
The OPUS concerts have their roots in Tbilisi, where they began in the apartment of pianist Lexo Pirmisashvili. Music enthusiasts gathered in this intimate setting to perform for each other. These gatherings soon became a well-kept secret, attracting many friends and acquaintances. Eventually, as the group outgrew the space, they moved to the nearby Haraki Theatre (see photo). The hallmark of these concerts was the unique atmosphere — combining the intimacy of a house concert with a relaxed interaction between the audience and performers.
He feels that this special ambiance could be transferred to Zurich, Temo Natobidze told us during his visit to our atelier, admiring our old grand piano. Currently studying at ZHdK in Zurich, Temo will be performing at our first OPUS concert on May 30th. Alongside pianists Luc van Doornick and Nino Bitadze, we will present three major works of piano literature:
- A. Scriabin - Fantasie Op. 28
- M. Ravel - “Gaspard de la nuitâ€
- R. Schumann - Kreisleriana Op. 16
Let us celebrate the openness and freedom inherent in music, within our friendly and unique atmosphere. We aim to bring the spirit of Tbilisi's house concerts to Zurich, uniting with these young artists in their passionate expression of the longing for freedom.
Admission is free - donations are welcome at the end of the concert or digitally.
