The opulence of Harrod’s Group inspires me

Dear us,

As we usher in the promise of a new year, I find myself compelled to share and document my thoughts on the exciting changes and aspirations that I hope to shape my working trajectory for 2024. This year marks a significant evolution in how I perceive and engage with my clients, and I hope to take things a bit further and better with refinement and excellence.

One of my foremost goals is to ensure that each client I work with feels not just valued, but truly special. And how do I do that? I am not sure how I can add to what I am already doing but I am committed to infusing every project with a touch of luxury reminiscent of the renowned Harrods Luxury Group, I would study people who excel in the niches I am in and see what they offer asides quality work.?

I am not quite sure about sending personal messages because I did that last year and lost three to four clients, lol. So this year that I have kept things professional it paid off more. It maybe showed that I am about my work and not about serenren but still how do I add to everything I’ve already been doing without crossing the lines of boundaries? I’ll find the answer before my work resumes fully.

I want to be recognized as the person who turns the seemingly impossible into reality, creating an unmistakable aura of opulence in every facet of? ‘Winnie's work.’

In the spirit of the holidays and a quest for being a notch better, in this work break I have, I want to reflect on my current practices and strategize how to take them to new heights. While I already put forth my best effort, I am determined to take it better, delivering not just good but exceptional work that resonates with the quality synonymous with most businesses I’ve studied.?

The difference might not be in my final delivery but maybe in my process, the process I take to get things done. That might just be my special sauce. Not in overly bombarding anyone with long emails expressing my thanks, but the way I take them on the journey of my work process till the deliverables.

Patience has always been my virtue. I have been called patient a lot, by clients, friends, bolt drivers, people in queues, church, family, hospital, and even people in the saloon. I have been told that I act like I have time. Well, I am not sure I act like I have time because I am impatient with caustic remarks or feedback or mean people in general. I am impatient with bullies and time-wasters. I just know when to be patient and when not to be, so regarding what would be my ultimate sauce, I think it is a process I am willing to be patient and find out what it’ll be.

Harrod’s group said one Christmas night when their store was burning down, they still managed to fulfill all Christmas orders on time and exceeded all of their original trade targets. This event was their defining moment. Since then, they’ve had the unswerving determination to make the impossible become possible embedded in their culture.?

So I too would find the defining moment in my work. I aspire to make the process of incorporating changes, edits, and refining work a finesse act. I want these moments to be an opportunity to showcase not just my skills but a commitment to perfection, ensuring that every modification contributes to the overall brilliance of the project.

In the coming year, I hope that my approach to every task, whether it's a complex project or a seemingly simple copy, will be done with the mindset of an important individual delivering the epitome of quality and luxury. I wish to imprint my signature touch of exceptionality on everything that bears my name, coupled with a level of professionalism that is unparalleled.

While I acknowledge the inevitability of human error, my focus will remain on keeping business interactions important, professional, and uniquely personal. I believe that by striking this balance, I can maintain authenticity while consistently delivering outstanding results.

I also recognize the importance of taking time for rest, reflection, and appreciating the small wonders of life. These moments of reprieve will catalyze my personal and professional growth, ensuring that I approach each endeavor with renewed energy and perspective. I don’t want to always be tired. I want to be full in my battery and recharge when it is low.
