Optix Solutions - business update

Given the changing daily landscape of the Coronavirus pandemic, we wanted to send you a quick update on how Optix Solutions are dealing with the events that surround us.

We will update this post as the situation or our response to it changes.

Firstly, I am very pleased to be able to report that the health and safety of our employees has been maintained during this outbreak, and we are incredibly grateful for the support of our team in ensuring we have been able to carry on delivering our services to our clients.

It's been heartening to witness how the SW business community has rallied around to support one another, we’re incredibly grateful for all our clients who have stood by us in these difficult times. Without them we wouldn’t be here and we will always remember and be grateful of their support.

As I’m sure everybody is, we’ve been keeping on top of all news bulletins and listening intently to the information and updates being given by the professionals. Of particular interest this week was the announcement from our Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, who stated that we are now past the peak of this crisis. This is very welcome news for all of us and our thoughts now turn to what the future holds for us, specifically what will the social conditions and measures be and how can we adapt to these to ensure a positive future for all?

We know that tech services and digital skills will be even more important now than ever before, think about how Zoom has taken off! Many of now use these services on a daily basis to keep in touch with our colleagues, friends, customers and loved ones. It’s fast become the new normal and I cannot see this changing any time soon.

Thanks to our prior planning and the support of our excellent partners, our teams are fully operational and have fulfilled their jobs entirely remotely. We have ensured that every member of staff is supported to work from home through on-going welfare meetings and regular catch-ups. It’s common place now that communication methods such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Skype, Email and Slack are integrated into businesses to allow us all to work remotely.

We continue to think about our clients and how we can help enable them to succeed in these challenging times and we’ve been using our skills to ensure we spread these tips far and wide through the launch of Optix TV, our blogs, LinkedIn updates and regular video conference sessions with our clients. So, if you need any help or advice on how to use digital tools (some of those I mentioned earlier), we’re all here to help.
