With 267 points of sale, the Optivis?o group is the largest optician group in Portugal; they focus not only on vision correction, but also on vision problems prevention. In 2021, Optivis?o launched Optivis?o+, a pilot phygital store. Located in Arrábida Shopping in Vila Nova de Gaia, this innovative high-tech space is fully equipped with the latest interactive solutions. Through this new store concept, customers enjoy a rich personalized experience while taking care of their vision health.

Projection on storefront entrance

The first impression is the most important; therefore, the store windows have to standout allure passerbys. To show the phygital concept of the store, the storefront feature a video projection about the most common eye diseases, symptoms and best practices to care about visual health.

This projection displayed symptoms, statistics and good practices concerning ommon eye diseases (Cataracts, AMD, Glaucoma, Retinopathy, etc.). This type of health prevention content is not easily appealing, as most people feel uncomfortable when confronted with diseases and the need to change behaviors. To tackle that issue, we developed eye-catching visuals with a futuristic aesthetic: bold colours, wireframe and particle systems tranform they human visual system into a magical and galvanic show — leaving no doubt how our eyes are, in fact, organic high tech. By avoiding a photorealistic representation of sensory organs, we also make this information much more palatable to hemophobic visitors.


Augmented reality Try-On Mirror

Choosing a pair of glasses can be a tough decision: so many models, so little time! Our Try-On mirror allows you to try them all with a few touches on the screen. Through augmented reality you can visualize the selected glasses on your face in any angle. To make the search for the perfect piece even easier, the app allows you to browse through hundreds of models of glasses and filter your search by shape, brand, or color. And to make sure you don't regret your choice, you can save your favorite models and take selfies with them, giving you time to reconsider your option before the final purchase.


Stretch Screen with QR code interaction

The COVID-19 pandemic forced us all to adopt more hygienic habits, especially in public places. How did could we make this experiences interactive while avoiding customers touching the same surfaces? Our solution was to delegate the interaction control to the user's personal device. By scanning a QR code with their mobile phone, the visitor gains control of the store's strech screen, choosing which content it shows. Situated right in the entrance to the Optivis?o+ store, this solution aims to catch the visitors' attention and invite them to visit the store through the use of appealing visual and interesting content.


Promotional Content

In order to promote and distinguish the new phygital store from the traditionaal Optivis?o stores, we developed a landing page of the store, Optivis?o+. Representing the high-tech concept of the store, the landing page transmits the company's focus on innovation, personalized experience and visual health. The page also provides information about the equipment and the services of the store and allows visitors to schedule an eye exam.

We also produced a promotional video hilighting the store's exceptional design, cutting-edge technology and interactive solutions of the space.
