Optimizely One: Making Waves
If you’re in marketing or have spent any time in analyst relations, you probably know the difference between saying “the leader” and “a leader.” But sometimes the results make it obvious. Today is such a day. I’m so proud of the team – the 1500+ Optimizers who show up every day to build world class products and help our customers realize the enormous potential of those products. We’re ranked #1 in The Forrester Wave: Digital Experience Platforms, Q4 2023 for current offering. We earned the highest possible score in 11 of the scoring criteria, more than any other vendor. I’ll let you be the judge if we’re “a leader” or “THE leader!”.
I took over as CMO a year ago, and joined Optimizely through the Welcome acquisition two years ago this week! It’s been a whirlwind journey, but I remember very clearly my lunch with Alex right before our acquisition. He walked me through the company vision and the strategy towards building a company of real consequence. What I loved then (and now) is that Optimizely is a portfolio of products that are all category creators and leaders. We are #1 in almost every category we compete in. Not #2 or #3. And that makes a huge difference because we can go to customers with confidence that our suite isn’t just cobbled together. You get the best products in the market and can realize the benefits of a fully integrated workflow across the entire marketing lifecycle (we call this Optimizely One). But you also get to work with one vendor, don’t have to worry about DIY integrations and you can lower your costs of ownership.
