You’ve identified your ideal customer. You know you want to work with law offices in DFW with 10 to 20 users.
Now, make their lives easier, save yourself time, and make yourself money. Optimize your stack to support and to attract and to retain your favorite customer.?
What specific tech do you want to support?
Some MSPs only support Mac, and some MSPs don't support Mac at all. They say, “Hey, if you have Macs, I have a partner I'll send you to.”?
And then you get a referral fee for anybody you send over there.?
“I only do PC.”?
“I only do Linux.”
That level of specialization is fine. In fact, you can charge more if you specialize.

“My ideal customer profile is somebody who has a file server onsite. So that in the next two to three years, I can shift them to Azure.” That’s just an example. Your specialization isn't for me to decide.?
These are just some ideas to get your creativity going. What kind of technology do you want to support? Obviously you need something that's easy to administrate, but...?
You need a tech stack that’s easy for your customer to interact with.
What can you add to your stack that's going to perfect your customers’ experience?
If you work with a lot of lawyers, get very comfortable and familiar with A1 Law. And with the three other legal ERP systems that they all use. Figure out what kind of servers run that hardware, and print out the hardware requirements for that legal application.
Then when you go into their office, you say, “Hey, I specialize in helping legal offices. Let me go ahead and run a diagnostic on your server to make sure it's optimized for this application.”?
