Let us not confuse Optimism with positivity.
Optimism. A positive viewpoint does not imply you see everything as "positive". It means you have a viewpoint that perceives the positive, often ahead.
With Optimism, we see the good, bad and ugly in the now... and we live it... walk through it... but knowing it is "through" to something better.
But it is still pain.
This is part of the concern with positivity. Pain often has some purpose; not to be dwelled upon... but learned from. That does not magically make things better. It does give some sense of meaning. My walk with Panda is such. It is challenging, but somehow powerfully rewarding to walk it with her, even not knowing the exact path ahead. And the support and encouragement is something of Beauty, having received this gift of digital portrait ... received and referenced yesterday on Facebook...

Challenge is challenging, by its very nature. But Service and Love have such value in the face of same.
This is not to say we should approach life painfully. We must needs hold to Service, Optimism and Love... in order to see, walk through and live the challenges ... knowing we are moving towards something infinitely better. I think it important to remember and realize in our darker times. We are moving "through".
And, with that in heart and mind, I humbly and sincerely think you will find some Optimism in here; 8 perspectives even.

A highly respected expert in Human Resource Management, he expected much of us and he believed much in us. He was an educator and leader of high character. He was extraordinary. To this day and beyond, I try my darnedest to honor his spirit with my own work. That is another story. But I hope I did him service here.
