Optimising Your Website is as Easy as A. B. C

A - Audience Statement Understanding your audience is the first step in optimizing your website. Develop a clear audience statement to define who your target users are, what they need, and how your services can fulfill those needs. Keep it to 2-3 sentences tops, and put it in the first section of your website (bonus, with a picture of yourself and your team!)

This helps in boosting keywords in your website that helps with online visibility, creating content that aligns with your market, and copywrite that resonates with your audience.

B - Backend Optimisation Ensure that your website’s backend is optimized for speed and performance (and no, you don't need to be an expert in websites or SEO to do this)

  • SEO Best Practices: Implement keywords that are relevant in your niche, appropriate headings to improve search engine rankings, and (if possible) blog posts from repurposed content.
  • Mobile Optimisation: Ensure your site is mobile-friendly with responsive design and fast load times on mobile devices. 50% of all leads will come from smartphone searches. If your website is difficult to view on mobile, you're losing out on half of your audience.

C - Content Strategy Create and implement a strong content strategy to engage your audience and drive conversions. This includes:

  • Quality Content: Produce high-quality, relevant, and valuable content that addresses your audience's needs.
  • Regular Updates: Keep your content fresh and updated regularly to maintain user interest and improve SEO.
  • Calls to Action (CTAs): Incorporate clear and compelling CTAs to guide users toward desired actions, such as signing up for a newsletter or making a purchase.
