7 Tips to make the most of your Skills on LinkedIn
1. Select standout skills
Spotlight your expertise – be specific about your strengths.
2. Collect endorsements
Request colleagues to endorse your skills. Their support adds credibility.
3. Return the favour
Endorse others for their strengths. It builds a positive networking community.
4. Stay genuine
Only list skills you’re confident about. Authenticity builds trust.
5. Maximise your skills section
You have 100 skills to showcase your expertise but focus on quality and relevance. Prioritise the first 10 with existing endorsements for a strong initial impression.
6. Opt for recognised skills
When prompted to add a skill, select popular ones to enhance visibility within the LinkedIn database.
7. About and Work Experience skills
Populate these sections with 5 key skills each. It adds depth to your profile and reinforces your professional strengths.
By taking the time to optimise your skills, you'll position yourself for greater success on LinkedIn.
