Optimal Load Shape for DERs

I recently completed a review of the State of California's storage program and would like to make stakeholders aware that the Wind Number and Solar Boost describe the optimal charge and discharge cycle each day to achieve systemwide benefits. Adoption of the Clean Energy Factor API should lower systemwide costs for stakeholders as well as carbon emissions.

If marketed properly, energy consumers that do not possess an enabling technology can emulate the behavior offered to program participants. This should lower overall system costs as consumers enjoy using cleaner energy. The Clean Energy Factor is a much easier concept to understand than marginal emissions reporting, as it is built on the value of clean energy resources over power from fossil fuels...which is the definition of our equations for the Wind Number and Solar Boost.

You can review our messaging system and the correlation between the Clean Energy Factor and optimal dispatch of DERs here. Please feel free to contact me with questions or to launch a trial.
