Clear Align coating experts have developed broadband coatings for the new Schott IRG 27 multi-spectral chalcogenide substrate material. "IRG 27 offers excellent transmission from 680 nm in the visible range through the SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR wavelengths, and has no Germanium content, allowing minimal absorption at 12.5 μm. One major advantage is the near zero dn/dT across the entire SWIR (starting at 1.5 μm) through the MWIR and LWIR range. IRG 27 can be processed by conventional grinding and polishing, single point diamond turning, or molding."
If you have a challenging optical task which requires excellent transmission of light in multiple wavelengths, let us know. Clear Align can design, manufacture, coat and assemble optical assemblies(fixed focus and zoom), or supply optical components, with this novel amorphous multi-spectral chalcogenide material. We can otherwise build to your optical design. Contact me and I can provide you with the spec sheet.
Traditional Ge, ZnS, ZnSe, Si, IRG and other substrate optics available as well.
