Oprah Winfrey recently aired a special called “AI and the Future of Us,” where she sat down with some of the biggest names in tech and beyond—like OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, tech influencer and creator Marques Brownlee, Pulitzer Prize-winning author Marilynne Robinson and the co-founder of the Center for Humane Technology, and FBI Director Christopher Wray.?

They covered everything from the breakneck speed of AI's development to its impact on jobs, security, and even our everyday lives.

She’s got this way of breaking down big, heavy stuff, so it feels like a conversation with a friend, not a lecture. And that’s important because we need to keep having these conversations. Once again, we find ourselves at the same point: AI needs more guardrails, and the world needs to stay in the know if we’re going to keep up. But let’s also talk about the lack of women in AI, even in this special.
