Oprah and Resolutions
It’s that time of year when a man-made line in the sand forces us to assess our lives and start all over again.
For years my resolution was to lose weight and save more money; it’s documented in dozens of notebooks.
Happily, I decided my weight is ideal for me, and I accept who I am - it’s about time.
As for saving money, I want and need less, and as a result I spend less.
Celebrating a birthday on December 30th has posed a dilemma as far back as I can remember because I only got one day to improve myself unlike my Gemini, Cancer, and Leo friends.
Oprah is quoted as saying “The new year represents a time to get it right.” First of all what is “it” and why “right"? How about just getting “it” better?
For me, if I can develop an awareness and make some small changes to make my life better and more comfortable, I feel satisfied.
With a long successful track record in Coaching and Executive Search Leadership, I have had the privilege of working with people, supporting them to reach their personal goals.
This year, the day after I turn 69 (in Sicily) I resolve to count my blessings multiple times and recognize that that I may not ever get it “right” but I will feel better.
