ARE THE OPPRESSORS STEALING OUR SIGHT FROM REALITY

A Reflection on Gaza's Plight

Imagine a moment before destruction. Then, in seconds, everything changes—a bomb falls, shattering the peace. For years, Gaza has endured relentless violence, but its people remain resilient, choosing courage over fear.

Our Comforts vs. Their Daily Struggles

While we debate what to eat for breakfast, the people of Gaza face sleepless nights and hunger-filled days. Their thoughts are consumed by survival, not comfort.

Has social media hardened our hearts? Have we become numb to their suffering, treating it as just another headline? It’s time we pause and reflect:

What would it feel like to live in constant fear for our lives?

Are we allowing this reality to fade into the background of our comfortable lives?

Faith, Responsibility, and Action

It’s easy to blame leaders for inaction, but true reliance lies with Allah, the Most Merciful. As believers, we must ask ourselves:

Have we shed tears in our prayers for Gaza?

Do we think of them when we eat, sleep, or wake for Fajr?

Are we doing enough to support them, spiritually or otherwise?

Perhaps, unconsciously, we think, “It’s not my problem.” But as believers, is that truly acceptable?

Underestimating The Power of Prayer

Have we forgotten the immense power of dua? Imagine if, instead of blaming others in gatherings or news feeds, we reflected on our own actions and prayed. This crisis has brought change in people—some have grown closer to Allah, while others have shown indifference. Is Allah urging us to turn back to Him?

Allah's decree overcomes all; He alone can bring peace and justice. But do we take time to ponder our own spiritual standing? Are we aware that personal sins can harden our hearts, making us indifferent to the suffering of others? The more we submit to our desires, the more they blind us from the truth. By resisting what Allah dislikes, we regain control over our minds and souls.

Never Lose Hope in Allah's Justice

Losing Hope is exactly what the oppressors desire. Let's not give them that satisfaction. Belief in Allah's mercy and justice keeps us firm in times of hardship. Let us remember:

Allah sees both the righteous and the wrongdoers. He does not forget the suffering of Gaza. As believers, we cannot afford to lose hope, no matter how dire the circumstances.

A Call to Action

Let us stand firm in faith and make changes in our own lives. Through remembrance, discipline, and unshakable trust in Allah’s plan, we can hope to see His mercy prevail over oppression.

  • Pray for the people of Gaza.
  • Share their stories to raise awareness.
  • Support credible relief organizations working on the ground.

What can we do today to make a difference? Let’s not allow the oppressors to steal our sight from reality. Together, let’s keep hope alive.
