The Opposite of Fear and Distraction

Our society does its best to persuade you to its point of view by feeding you fear on a regular basis. Are you falling for it?
Think about all of the fear-based information we are receiving in these current times: COVID, violence, Roe vs. Wade, Israel, Black Lives Matter, mass shootings, the human right to be independent and different, etc., etc. The list goes on and on and you can be assured that our news stations will broadcast widely and spread the fear.
This fear-based reporting is designed to keep you distracted from what is really going on.
What’s really going on? I’ve got a big answer for that but I’m not sure you are ready to hear it yet.
First, I suggest that you begin to focus on the opposite of fear and distraction. Let me break it down.
Fear and distraction take you away from connecting with the deeper meanings of life. When you focus on fear you run away from things and fail to embrace the joy and abundance that is in your life. The distractions that keep you fearful are busy-work for your mind, again to keep you distracted from what is really important.
What’s important is keeping a peaceful state of mind, being a critical thinker, and being an asset to the world in whatever way that is designed for you. The fear perspective is to keep you off balance, have you focus on what you don’t have rather than what you do have and make you feel insecure because other people have more or do more than you do.

When you have such feelings of insecurity, comparing yourself to others, being fearful of what the future holds or otherwise not standing in the fullness of who you are…rather than think about it as you are lacking something, consider that you are just out of balance.
The fear makes us think in terms of scarcity. As if there is not enough money for everyone to be content in life. As if we aren’t enough or don’t have enough. As if there is scarcity in the world.
The root word for scarcity is scare. It’s all intended to keep you fearful, and research shows that fear is related to stress. and stress promotes illness that leads to death. When I was a child, I used to wonder why people died shortly after they retired, as if their entire life is about working and usually for someone else. Now I understand that it’s all part of the fear-based agenda.
What can you do about it?
Step away from the fear and embrace your individuality, your authenticity. When you think from a fearful or scarcity perspective just stop yourself and examine where your life might be out of balance. Then work on getting it back in balance.
We each have a role to play if we want our children to evolve from the fear-based view of life. I’m excited that I have a lot of tips to share with you to give you, your family and work teams greater fortitude to ignore the fear and embrace balance in your life. Stay tuned.
