Waiting for opportunity to knock on your door can be likened to waiting for a bus. You wait for hours and then several arrive at once. The question is, do you wait until it arrives or do you go and chase it? Either way you may still have a long, frustrating wait. One option is to look for the opportunity and to research how to encourage it your way. The other is to just wait.
Actively looking for opportunities can lead to new directions, new journeys and new contacts. Taking a chance on something different is a leap of faith which we all take at some point in our lives. It gives the chance to learn new skills and to explore new talents.
So when opportunity knocks... embrace it.
