Hire One of My Top Consumer Researchers

Ran Mao is an exceptional woman.  She is a PhD student at Cornell in marketing who I'm been working closely with for a year.  As a researcher and project manager she is remarkably skilled in making astonishing progress, creatively solving problems along the way, and closing on projects more quickly than one would expect. The four most diverse of these  projects include the following:

  •  1) What innovative technologies could be profitably used by grocery stores to help consumers shop in a healthier way?
  • 2) When should sample screenshots be used (versus not used) when conducting consumer concept tests for a new app?
  • 3) What unexpected daily activities are most predictive of happiness?
  • 4) What are trigger actions that increase the likelihood of physical activity among inactive versus moderately active consumer segments?

 The answers Ran has discovered to these questions yield powerful insights that can help make consumers healthier (shop better and exercise more) and can make companies more profitable and efficient.
