Opportunity to build 'Living Places' at scale in Ukraine

“Living Places” are unique and state-of-the-art houses that demonstrates that it is achievable to have 3 times lower emissions, and 3 times better indoor climate at the same time, and build entirely with existing material.

Living Places can provide Ukrainians healthy, comfortable and energy efficient buildings, that with the use of solar energy and heat pumps – build entirely with proven technology and cost-efficient materials can solve short term housing needs as well as futureproof homes for many Ukrainians.

In the efforts to rebuild Ukraine we should aim for state-of-the-art technology, affordable and sustainable solutions. We owe that to the current and future generations. With Living Places we have proven that the sustainable buildings of the future are actually here today.

VELUX will dedicate money, know-how and resources to the project, and work with local partners, the international community, the Danish Government and other partners from the construction industry. It will require a truly collaborate effort to build fast and at scale. We encourage everyone to join forces and do our outmost to rebuild Ukraine.

This is the kind of initiative that makes me proud of working at VELUX - LivingPlaces in itself is a great and ambitious project for the green agenda, but this effort to solve short-term housing needs as well as futureproof homes for many Ukrainians is really taking it to the next level ??

Very cool if we can take this already very impressive project from Copenhagen and apply it to do our bit to get Ukraine back on its feet

Living Places is a great initiative, which can be inspiring on how to build in a sustainable way, maintaining high level of indoor comfort at the same time.
