The Solution Architect (SA) is accountable to create solutions, to support current and foreseeable changes due to new technical or business requirements. The solutions are functionality appropriate, technically sound well integrated and support reuse within existing ecosystem and by other LOBs.?The SA develops the solution architecture by collaborating with Business units, Architecture, Development, Security and Operations and provides value-added, professional advice to the Lead Solution Architect, Senior management team, and business partners.?The SA is accountable to ensure proposed solution architectures are consistent and align with the roadmaps established by Enterprise Architecture and Line of Business (LOB).
- Design and implement effective architecture solutions for ServiceNow domain initiatives (CMDB / Asset Pro / ITOM / ITSM / Risk / Vendor Mgmt)
- Review existing architectures to determine overall effectiveness and compliance with original objectives, develop comprehensive strategies for improving or replacing underperforming areas and present these plans to managers and executives
- In collaboration with an integrator, assess the current implementation and propose course correction / action plan / roadmap (ie: modules that were incorrectly integrated orheavily customized, CDMA & demand management)
- Implement the purchased module (CMDB / Asset Pro / ITOM / ITSM / Risk / Vendor Mgmt)
- Adopt and migrate the current SNOW CMDB implementation to the SNOW CSDM 3.0
- Build & connect the digital Workflows (aka interconnect ServiceNow Modules) for Procurement, TPRM, ITOM, ITSM, Architecture, Finance, ITAM, demand)
- Put in place a full IT asset management practice and governance.
- Evaluate and propose ways to keep the CMDB up-to-date (hardware and software asset discovery)
- Participates in the system specification review process to ensure system requirements can be translated into valid architecture.
- Define solutions to business problems/opportunities while taking into account constraints, goals, budgets and timelines
- Propose and provide solution options business cases, prototypes and walk-throughs to all required levels of stakeholders
- Work in close partnership with Project Managers, Business Analyst, Enterprise Architect, Business Relation Manager (BRM), Security and IT-Operations to ensure alignment of assigned projects with with requirements, architecture guidelines and compliance of non-functional requirements (Security, High Availability, Performance, Management, Reliability, Scalability, Backup, etc.) to IT Ops standards;
- Create and seek approval of architecture artifacts at the ARB (Architecture Review Board) and communicate architecture decisions and key solutions impacts to project stakeholders;
- Identifies risks or issues with technology solution & design which may impact realization of project benefits and provides guidance and support to stakeholders in making good decisions to proactively resolve or mitigate potential risks/delays to the project.
- Lead or participate in RFP technical requirements, including preparation and vendor’s response evaluation;
- Lead or active participate on projects cost evaluation. Provides input into the preparation of business case.
- Support implementation of approved architectures in capacity as a ServiceNow leader, subject matter expert, compliance monitor, and go-to architectural authority on projects
- Provides technical leadership and consultation to development teams related to detailed design.?Mentor scrum teams with best architecture patterns, approaches, and designs
- Identifies and researches relevant technologies, performs Proof of Concepts / Prototypes, and recommends applications of such technologies to future product architectures.
- 5+ years working experience and/or equivalent working knowledge of ITIL, Asset Management processes and procedures
- A minimum of 3 years of experience with managing Configuration Management Database is required with focus on ServiceNow
- 5+ years’ experience in solution architecture and design, preferablu in a financial services or banking industry, including tools and techniques in developing solution architecture artefacts.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in projects related to the following modules in SNOW: CMDB with Discovery, Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM)
- Experience with the ServiceNow Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
- Experience with full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations
- Understanding of the key technologies relevant to the ServiceNow integration solutions including: SSO, SAML, SSL, Web Services, LDAP, JDBC, ODBC, REST, SCP, FTPS.
- Agile Scrum/Kanban, DevOps, and Continuous Integration / Deployment / Delivery
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Master business and application integration technologies and frameworks
- Experience with technology product evaluation, selection, acquisition and deployment processes;
- Confident in decision making and the ability to explain processes or choices as needed based on strong analytical skills (ability to propose alternatives when functional requirements conflict;
- ServiceNow Certification (asset)
- ITIL certification (asset)
- Advanced knowledge of Solution and Enterprise Architecture frameworks, methodologies and tools.
- Certifications such as TOGAF, DASM or equivalent ?(asset)
- Expert communication skills, both written and verbal with ability to convey information to different levels of the organization;
- Expert ability to manage multiple projects high in complexity and of strategic importance.
