Operator Solutions Announces the Appointment of former NASA Astronaut, CAPT Brent W Jett USN (Ret), to the Board of Directors
Melbourne, FL –?Operator Solutions is pleased to announce the appointment of Brent W. Jett to the company’s Board of Directors. This brings the total number of board members to eight, adding welcomed expertise and experience to the team. Jett will focus on the development and operations of the company’s aviation and maritime divisions.?
Jett is a retired American Naval officer and aviator, test pilot, and NASA astronaut. He joins the Operator Solutions team from Axiom Space where he served as the Vice President of Operations from 2016-2021.

About Brent Jett
Brent Jett?has a distinguished history of public service as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot, NASA astronaut, member of federal government Senior Executive Service, and as a member of the independent NASA Aerospace Safety Advisory Panel.??Most recently, he served for 5 years as the Vice President of Operations at Axiom Space.??In that role, he provided key leadership as the company grew from a small start-up to a multi-billion-dollar corporation that successfully flew the first private astronaut mission to the International Space Station (ISS).??During his government service at NASA, Brent was Deputy Program Manager for the Commercial Crew Program which developed the spacecraft that, today, are transporting astronauts on missions to the ISS.??Prior to that assignment, he served as the Director of Flight Crew Operations during the final years of the Space Shuttle Program.??In that role, Brent was responsible for planning, directing, and leading astronauts and aircraft operations in support of NASA human spaceflight missions.??During his 26 years on active duty with the Navy, Brent was a carrier fighter pilot (F-14 Tomcat), test pilot, and astronaut.??He flew four Space Shuttle missions (STS-72, 81, 97, 115) – two as the Shuttle Pilot and two as the Shuttle Commander – which included a mission to the Russian Space Station Mir and two missions to the ISS.??During his time as an astronaut, Brent also served as the NASA Director of Operations at the Yuri Gagarin Training Center in Star City Russia.??Brent has received numerous awards and military decorations throughout his career including the Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Defense Superior Service Medals.
